Our portfolio of high quality finished spectacle lenses covers a wide range of materials and indexes at exceptionally competitive prices. We have an extensive range of added value products including Transitions Gen 8, Transitions XTRActive, tints, and mirror coated sun lenses. We also have an anti-fog coated lens available as stock item that is perfect for single vision wearers who need to wear a face covering for extended periods of time. We have extended our range further and now offer Blumax in both 1.5 and 1.6 stock lens options. Blumax lenses offer indoor and outdoor protection from UV and blue-violet light*. The lens substrate absorbs these light rays, preventing them entering the eye.
*Protection against UV and blue-violet light filtering. (Blue-violet light is between 400 and 455nm as stated by ISO TR 20772:2018).
As well as our extensive range of materials and treatments, we also offer a wide range of coating options across our stock lens range to ensure that our customers can offer the highest quality dispense to their patients as quickly as possible. These range from a basic hard coat to our Pristine branded coating. Plastic lenses are extremely lightweight and provide many benefits to wearers over the more traditional glass lenses. However plastic lenses are softer, and therefore more vulnerable to scratched than mineral lenses. For this reason we recommend that plastic lenses are ordered with a coating to fully protect them against scratches
Pristine is a multi-layered coating given principally to plastic lenses. This coating is available on the most commonly ordered stock lenses, and comprises an antireflection coating, a scratch resistant coating, a top hydrophobic coat to prevent water collecting on the surface of the lens and a zirconium oxide coating to increase the lens toughness. This not only enhances the optical performance but also the life of the lens. Wearers will notice that their Pristine coated lenses are much easier to clean, have significantly reduced glare and reflections, do not smudge, and are much more resistant to scratches compared with uncoated and hard coated lenses.
